Rule Update- Endurance and Offshore

Fellow racers

We are a small community of friends who are also racers, and want this to remain the case at all times, even in the heat of racing. The iMBRA Committee expect everyone's behavior and actions to reflect this at all times. However, following a situation that occurred at one of the recent league races the iMBRA committee find ourselves in a position where we feel it is unfortunately necessary to amend one of the current rules. The amendments can be seen highlighted below:

Endurance - 8.4 General rules during the race

Rule 2) The competitor or mechanic may leave their start position to collect their boat from the rescue or to fetch spare materials. Again, they must not interfere with any other competitors. They cannot leave their start position to go and talk to another competitor and/or mechanic. Doing so will result in a red card.

Offshore - 10.3. General rules during a race

Rule 5) The competitor or mechanic may leave their start position to fetch spare materials. Again they must not interfere with any other competitors. They cannot leave their start position to go and talk to another competitor and/or mechanic. Doing so will result in a red card.

These changes are something the we hope that everyone can understand, but also hope that are not needed in the future.
